I’m a sucker for anything handmade…especially food!

You can taste the love…it’s the best.

The meals served in our home are always made by our hands.

No boxes, no mixes, and usually no recipes!

Throwing ingredients together and slinging spices is a form of therapy not found in any other activity and we really never make the exact same things twice.

Our favorite standby’s are things like

Tacos

Shrimp Scampi

Lasagna

Grilled Cheese and Soup

Quesadillas

Pasta Salads

Roasted Veggies

Meatloaf and  Mashed

Burgers and Fries

Mustard Chicken

Stir Fry and Rice

Wantons or Eggrolls

We love to experiment in the kitchen and on the grill….

Make sure your pantry is stocked with simple basics so you’re always

 ready to create a meal.

Buy healthy food….Eat healthy food.

Utilize your freezer.

Having a meal plan helps.

Keep a running grocery list.

Don’t be afraid to try something out of your ordinary.

Add flavor by adding herbs.

Make coconut oil your favorite oil.

Now….go cook something yummy =}

It’s hard to think of ways to describe yourself…..I define my self by what I do and what I love.

That doesn’t necessarily define who I am, but it does create who I am becoming.

Most of these ‘traits’ didn’t even exist until I became a Wife and Mother.

In the embracing of change, I really love who I’ve become.

It wasn’t always easy though…You don’t become an exceptional Wife and Mom overnight =}

I’ve been on this journey for 17 years exactly…with 4 children…each one is vastly different!

Over time, I’ve figured out how to cook exceptional meals…camp like a champ…shop for groceries like its my JOB and handle our budget with grace and faith.

In the beginning….I was just playing house….
